July 27 2008 _ Brett Favre has not yet signed and submitted his reinstatement papers to the commissioner. Packers GM Ted Thompson has asked Favre not to show up for training camp for a few days while they work this out. Favre has agreed and states he does not want to distract the team. What a sorry state of affairs for our former MVP of 18 years.
Seems rather like the way long term employees are treated by companies these days.
