I just talked to a buddy of mine out at Eagles Landing Campground in Sturgis SD today and the word is that the crowd is definitely down this year, at least for the opening day. Most assume that the slow economy has hit bikers hard enough to forgo their annual pilgrimage to the infamous biker rally for 2009.  More updates will be coming in as the week progresses, perhaps some bikers are just getting a late start. At Woody’s Buffalo Chip Campground, Tuesday night headliners include Cheech & Chong and Billy Squire for $65  and Wednesday features Aerosmith at $120/head. Ride hard, ride free!
