Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, brothers from Milan, unified their design aspirations immediately after the Second World War, focusing mainly on city planning, architecture and particularly on design. Pier and Achille received various acknowledgements such as the permanent exhibition of six of their works at the Museum of Modern Art of New York and winning five editions of the Compasso d’Oro award. Continuing their spectacular design legacy they have reinvented many items for Alessi featuring modern flair and functionality. The Orseggi glassware collection is a spectacular example of classic elegance. Originally designed in 1965 for the “La Casa Abitata” exhibition in Florence, it has been redesigned for modern consumers featuring an entire line of crystal bar and glassware with such pieces as the beautiful Orseggi 2.1 oz.
