After three months of weather delays due to heavy rains, we have recieved a full week of clear weather, moderate temperatures and low humidity. We were able to get all thirty two sheets of 5/8″ OSB up on to the roof and today took delivery of the roofing materials. As you can see in the photos, the back side of the house has a bad case of roof algae and you can see the effect that the galvanized roof vents have on eliminating that problem. The new shingles are mold resistant and contain a small amount of zinc or copper particles to prevent this unsightly roof condition. So far we’re still on schedule for a July 4th roofing completion.
