We have a winner of the first official Home Bar Photo Contest.

Northwoods Bar Front
April 2008 Winner: Northwoods Bar Theme
Field stone bar front application.

Northwoods Bar Left Side
His unique Northoods Theme and use of field stone edged him out
over TONS of other great project entries. It was a close race between
his bar and at least two dozen other excellent projects.

Northwoods Bar Right Side
Bob’s craftsmanship and creativity along with excellent overall
appearance of the fiinished project stood out as one of the best.
Photo composition also earned Robert the prize by capturing the entire
bar scene floor to ceiling and left to right and from four different angles.

Bob tells us, “The bar is the focal point of our walk out basement, in a country setting but within 60 minutes of downtown Chicago. First time ever woodworkin project attempted.   In remodeling the entire basement ( again first time ), our motto was ‘everything twice’ and we were ok with that as long as we were learning and having fun ( and not making to many costly mistakes ). The L-Shaped bar plan was the starting point and then improvised.
Enjoyed the project and enjoying the results even more.”
Bob also added “I defintely amazed (at learning of winning), especially if you could have seen our struggles at the onset. Everyone involved in this creation appreciates your support!”
Thanks, Bob W.

Thank YOU Bob & Congratulations!

Bar of the Month - December 2007
Move over men, this beautifully completed bar project was constructed by one of our women members.
Peggy S. of Beachwood, OH built this bar by combining the Bar Back project EBBP-06 with the L-shaped Monster Wet Bar Project EHBP-04 topping it off with an overhead lighting unit, which you can find design ideas for in the gallery area. Great Job Peggy & Happy New Year to All!

Green & Gold Classic Bar

This great looking bar built by one of our members includes a slight modification of the Kegger Bar design along with the upper portion of the Bar Back design.  Swivel bar stools complete the project.

A custom corner cove houses an LCD TV for viewing your favorite movies and sporting events. Being Packer Fans, we particularly like the green and gold paint job, although a closer examination of the decor indicates a Ravens fan, but regardless, another excellent constrcution job!

Shop Class Washout Builds One Beautiful Bar.

Daves BarThis photo was sent in recently by Dave, a barplan.com member who explained “35 years ago, I got a D in shop class”, he said since that time he has attempted no other wood working projects, but with the help of the Easy Home Bar Plans website and a few friends, he built this great looking home bar complete with lighted bar back.  The project used all pine, because as Dave says, “I was too chicken to use expensive materials”, regardless the project turned out great. The arm rest was made using Black Walnut, but other options could be the use of Pre-fabricated Traditional Bar Moulding that can easily make it look like a professional job.
