When you finally decide to save money by entertaining at home and want to build a home bar, you have two choices in planning your unused room or basement remodeling bar project.
1. Get out a pencil and paper to sketch up a working bar design or…
2. Join a website that offers a bunch of tried and tested bar designs and a bar photograph gallery with thousands of pictures that is second to none for finding great design ideas.

No matter if you are an expert woodworker or a complete novice, there is only one site the gives you so much for so little. Consider for a moment what you time is worth. Even If you make minimum wage, our bar plans design website will save you money by saving hours of guesswork and time. The fact is that we help you do it right the first time. Other sites sell plans with rickety designs that even their own members claim are “shabby” in their framing techniques. When a bar if framed up, it should be solid, but according to members of one other site, once the bar is framed up, it’s wobbly and unstable. That indicates a poor design. Our designs are rock solid even before the side sheeting goes on and are designed to take all the wild party abuse you can throw at them.

The Easy Home Bar Plans site will help with great time saving ideas and designs for your home bar. Other look-a-like bar plan sites deliver less that one tenth the amount of useful content.

Combination bar perfect for your basement game room / rec room layout.

Versatility is also something you should look for and not just an empty claim of such. Our designs can be easily modified and combined to create unique and beautiful bar layouts that will be the focal point of your basement rec-room.  As you can see, this classic bar and bar back combination is possible by simply combining our EHBP-09  45 degree corner bar (leg lengths modified by using the CHBD resizing tool) and our EMBP-01 3 in 1 Combo Bar Back project plans. Both are available for resizing for literally thousands of possible custom size layouts.

So if you’re interested in saving money by building you own home bar and saving money by entertaining in the safety and comfort of your own home, then check out the rest of the Easy Home Bar Plans website for the best bar plans available on the web.

Need a Home Bar Layout that will fit your available space? Barplan.com has the exact tool for creating your own tailor-made bar layout that includes custom cut and material lists to be used along with their expanding collection of standard bar blueprints.

The Custom Home Bar Designer Web Tool, (CHBD for short) allows members of their site to load, modify and save their unique variations of the standard core bar plan sets, adjusting the overall length, width and height of the plans to suit their needs.

Other sites make claim that their plans are “adjustable” too, but you’ll have to pay to join their site before they divulge any of their “secrets”. Not so at barplan.com, the 3 minute demonstration below will show you exactly how it’s done using their web based resizing tool to change the  bar layout of an 8 foot long model to 6 feet long.
While it might sound like a simple task to do it manually, rest assured, it’s not. It would require you to study the parts list in detail, then determine which parts are related to length, width or height. Once you figure all that out, you need to add or subtract your desired change from all the related parts. Doing this manually could wind up taking hours, if not days!

Barplan.com has worked this resizing process down to an art, and you can do it all in seconds, with just a few mouse clicks. Watch the video above to see how easy it is to modify their plan layouts.

If you are looking for custom blueprint style layouts to build a home or commercial wet bar, then Barplan.com, the leading home bar design and ideas resource website can help. While other sites change $12 to $30  PER PLAN,  Barplan.com gives you all their available plans included with your lifetime site membership.  Sure you can get some of the info you need from a free bar plans site, but be warned, you will only get partial information and you’ll probably have to surrender your email address to get a thin set of plans. Once they have your email, look out for the barrage of spam. You can essentially get the plans for free too AND make enough extra cash to keep your bar stocked by participating in their included webmaster affiliate program.

Barplan.com lifetime membership is only $19.95 for instant access to all plans, the Builder’s Gallery, Forum and the time saving CHBD web tool.

Sunday February 6th 2011 marks the forty firth Superbowl featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Green Bay Packers.
You can enjoy the game by driving to your favorite local tavern or you can watch the game in the safety and comfort of your own home.
If you’re staying home, invite a few friends over to cheer on your favorite team.  If you already have a home bar, you all ready have the best place in town to watch the big  game.  If you’re a Vikings or Bears fan, well, there’s always ice fishing (just kidding).
Drinks: Getting ready for the game means deciding on what food and drinks everyone can bring. As the host, we usually provide beer, and depending upon how many people you expect, you can do either cans or if you are so equipped you can do a keg.
Our keg box usually has a home brew on tap, but for this game (we live near Green Bay) we”ll put on a quarter barrel.
If you’re not equipped with a kegerator or keg box, and you expect a lot of guests, just go with the tub & pump supplied by your beer vendor. If your fiends like cocktails and you’re too cheap to ante up for the Grey Goose, just tell them to BYO (bring your own) booze.
Don’t forget the Cherry Bounce or Jello-Shots for touchdowns & Field Goals!

hot buffalo wings

fry buffalo wings outside if you can, avoids the lingering deep fryer smell

Food: Of course you’ll want plenty of food to soak up the drinks, and the pot luck approach works great for big parties. Just come up with a list of your favorite hors d’evours and let your guests know what they can bring.

There’s plenty of prep work to do, so get started a few days before the big game.  Save your cooking tasks for before or during the tailgate party. If you’re frying brats, you’re no cheese-head! Brats should be cooked on a grill.  If you’re making buffalo wings (don’t forget the Franks hot sauce) then deep fry them outside.
To avoid smelling up the house, I do mine on the workbench in the garage.

Here’s a list of some of our easy to make favorites:
Brats (bratwurst, yes we live in Wisconsin)
Cheese & Cracker Tray (ditto)
Meatballs – don’t forget the toothpicks
Deviled Eggs
Shrimp w/ cocktail sauce. (Holland House)
Coconut Shrimp
Chicken Wings (the hotter the better!)
Rumaki (bacon wrapped water chestnuts or scallops)
Pizza Rolls
Weenie Tots (Little Smokies)
Avocado Dip
Reuben Dip
Chips & Dip
Veggie Pizza
Veggie Tray w/ dip
Pretzel dip
Fruit tray
Smoked oysters, pickled herring (for luck)
Nuts, peanuts, smoked almonds
Desert bars, rice crispy treats
Popcorn

That should give you some good ideas. If you can think of more please feel free to post a comment at the bottom of this article.

Be sure you have enough seating and of course a decent TV so everyone can catch the big plays. Our home theater adjacent to our bar area has a 65″ HD TV and in the bar area and 37″ LCD hanging from the ceiling. We set up our juke box with all the game related songs they play at the stadium like:
“Bang the Drum all Day” by Todd Rundgren
Ozzy’s “Crazy Train”
House of Pain’s “Jump Around”
Gun’s N ‘ Roses “Welcome to the Jungle”
Queen ” We Will Rock You”
Baja Men ” Who Let The Dogs Out”
and unfortunately Mambo #5 and Cotton-eyed Joe.
You get the idea….

Don’t pass up this opportunity to get together with your friends and cheer on your favorite team – GO PACK GO!
