Frank TV - Frank Caliendo is funny, but repetitive…

November 01, 2007 By: admin0 Category: Commentary, Humor, News 2 Comments →

Frank TV on TBSEvery once in a while, rare comic genius emerges from the out of nowhere to bless us with much needed side splitting laughs in the form of a great jokster or in this case a master comic capable of super human powers of “impersonationizing“. For those of you living on the dark side of the moon, we’re talking about the upcoming TBS late night show “Frank TV” starring the incredile comic impersonations of Frank Caliendo (MADtv), who can instantly transform into the likeness of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Robert DiNiro, Al Pacino, Richard Dryfuss, Sean Connery, Dr. Phil, Jack Nicholson, Robin Williams, David Letterman, Jeff Goldblum, Charles Barkley and let’s not forget our favorite impression of John Madden.

Check out his website for video clips and teasers that are sure to make you laugh.
So grab a beer, belly up to your bar, check the TBS schedule for your area and tune into Frank TV on TBS Late Night, November 20th 11/10c.
While it’s funny, he’s better suited for standup comedy that his own TV series.
The show is a bit repetitive and probably won’t be long lived.

Today Packer legend Max McGee passed away resulting from a fall while clearing rooftop leaves. Max was a local legend with many interesting stories related to his career. Post career he entertained us for nearly two decades along with Jim Irwin on the Packer Radio Network as a very colorful “color commentator”. We’ll all miss Max as it further closes the legondary era of great men of character.

Saving Energy Around the House.

May 24, 2007 By: admin0 Category: Commentary, Home Bars, News No Comments →

One of the biggest wasters of energy in your home is the incandescent light bulb. But there is an easy way to replace this outdated power sucking relic.
compact flourescent lighting fixture
New low energy consumption compact fluorescent lighting technology can shave a considerable chunk of money off your electricity bill. The bulbs which can be easily identified by the swirly tube appearance are a bit more expensive that conventional bulbs, but they will help reduce your carbon foot print, and help to reduce CO2 emissions which contribute to global warming.

The new Compact Flourescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) now come in designer shapes, so you can replace the six or seven 60 watt (or 100w for some) bulbs in you bathroom vanity with 12 or 15 watt CFB’s. Reducing power consumption from 360 to 700 watts down to 72 to 105 watts. Now THAT’s a smart idea!

If you have a bunch of kids, do them a favor and replace your outdated incandescent bulbs this weekend. The reduction in global warming will help to brighten their future.

Gas Prices Soar Again!

May 21, 2007 By: admin0 Category: Commentary, Home Bars, News No Comments →

The week before Memorial Day and gas prices continue to soar.
My local station is at $3.44 for regular, but I just paid $3.47 for mid grade to fill up my Goldwing.
It was only $11.50 to fill ‘er up, so I guess I know what I’ll be driving this summer. People will not change their ways until it really hurts, and apparently it does not hurt enough, yet. At what point will drivers slow down, car pool, and plan their trips better? I do it all right now, are you?

The question is, what will you do for fun if gas prices keep going up? Are we all expected to sit home and wait?
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! If, you have a yard, or an unused space in your home, consider a remodeling project that brings entertainmnet back home.
In the mean time, find the best gas prices in your area. left handed
