The Three Packer Stooges? In remains to be seen.
Waffling aside, if your MVP Quarterback wants to return after getting you one play from the Super Bowl, do you:
A: Welcome him back?
B: Make Lame Excuses to Not Welcome him Back?
C: Try to Pay him $20 million to stay retired?
D: Trade him to another Team?
E: None of the Above.
The current Green Bay Packer management has choosen B, C and now appears to be trying option D. This situation is WAY out of control. The general feeling among everyone that we have spoken to is the they have ALL lost any respect for these three clowns, and when that happens in Green Bay, you might as well GO PACK, your bags! If egos could have been left on the sideline, Brett Favre would be back on the team and all would be well with the world. This fiasco seems to have sent ripples of disruption throughout the entire NFL and even the world. The pieces are all over the floor and the public is going to want to know EXACTLY who caused this mess and why. I doubt the lame excuses we have heard so far will stand up in the court of public opinion. These three stooges need to remember who owns that team! If Roger’s lays an egg on Monday Night Football next week, heads will roll! For more discussion, see the Packer Forum.
UPDATE:
A change of heart has occurred between the time Favre left Green Bay and up until about 10 minutes ago. I have been learned that Favre has AGAIN waffled his way past training camp with the Vikings and is on his plane at this moment in a rumored attempt to sign with the “Queens”. I would hope Brad Childress is smart enough to turn him down, but I doubt it.
IMHO, the Packer’s defensive line should place a bounty on Favre’s head to retire him once and for all, kind of like the late Charles Martin and his hit list on Da Bears Jim McMahon in the 86 season.
I am hearing already of Favre jersey & memorabilia burning parties right before the October 5th and November 1st games. I have lost all respect for Brett Favre.
UPDATE: October 6th 2009
Favre gets his revenge against Ted Thompson, so maybe old Teds decision was bad to begin with. There HAS to be more to this story than meets the eye. It looks like Favre was driven out of Green Bay, probably because he wanted too much of a hand in making managerial decisions, which Teds tiny ego could not handle.
Help get Ted Thompson OUT of the Green Bay Packer organization at: http://www.firetedthompsonnow.com
Fire Ted Thompson NOW!
I know, I know, we’re ALL sick and tired of the ongoing saga between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers Management. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Many other player have come back from retirement and if the man wants to play, let him play, after all it’s only football, it’s supposed to be fun, not some serious business decision. Chris Collinsworth said it best “It would have taken me two seconds to decide, and the answer would have been YES! and Thank God!”. If Brett Favre winds up being traded to Tampa Bay or elsewhere, not only it would be a slap in the face to a Packer legend, it would also write in stone the absolute stupidity of the management and coach, who are too single minded to let a Packer legend and best chance for a winning year return for one more shot at a Superbowl.

Thompson & McCarthy
If Brett gets traded, I’d personally love to see him go all the way with whatever team he winds up with sending Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy down the river and responsible for the worst managment decision in Packer history. They both need to be fired!
The August 5th press conference with McCarthy was yet another joke, and it’s obvious he’s not telling us everything. Many websites are calling for their heads. savebrett.net and bringbackbrettfavre.com are two of the biggest.
The only distraction (the Packers excuse for not welcoming Favre back) has been the hoopla they are creating themselves by dragging this out. The fans are getting pissed off! Will rioting in the streets be next?
It’s totally ridiculous and Packer management is fast becoming the biggest joke in the NFL. Yes, it’s only football but they’re killing the local legend name Brett Favre.

Green Bay, WI:
Just heard on the radio here, Brett Favre may now be approaching the Green Bay Packers to return from retirement.
Apparently the old boy still has the itch to play, can’t blame him for that! After last years run to the Superbowl, why not try again? You only live once! Go Brett! Let’s hear your opinion!
FULL STORY on ESPN.
UPDATE: See the official response from the Green Bay Packers organization.
In an unrelated development, former Packers General Manager Ron Wolf has purchased a home in Green Bay and will be moving back to the area once his Annapolis, MD home is sold. The move is said to not be related to any involvement within the Packers organization. Welcome Back Ron!
The waters of the Wolf River near Fremont Wisconsin will soon be full of fish and fisherman for the 2008 Walleye run.
If you’ve never experienced this event, you should take a look at the photos of boats and home brew shore platforms with fully enclosed cabins with many including their own home bar!

Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre announced his plans to retire after 17 years. Every Packer fan will miss him. Good luck Brett, now it’s on to Canton!
For the record books…
5,377 completed passes for
61,655 total yards
442 touchdowns
288 interceptions (doh!)
9 Pro Bowls
160 wins
started 253 straight regular-season games
3-time NFL MVP
Word is, Green Bay wants to honor Brett by renaming Ashland Avenue to “Brett Favre Boulevard”. We think “Brett Favre Pass” would be more appropriate.
Thanks 4 the memories Brett!
Maybe after a few hundred miles on the JD, you’ll come back…
