So here is a good look at the Black Walnut bar top with a real Oak Chicago bar rail. The contrast looks great and brings up the grain in the Black Walnut. I must say this bar top came out better then I had hope for, considering this is the first time I had ever joined boards together to make anything. Also I have to thank the man responsible for this web site. He really does a nice job with this site and He gave me allot of great Ideas for this Bar". Great Bend, KS | | "I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased I am with your bar construction plans!!! it was very easy to follow the directions and with the photo illustrations it made clarity a snap. I modified mine a bit by adding a row of glass blocks across the front and sides. I also added a wet bar at the l shape I made". | Darrell K. Riverview, MI | "I put a row of 24' clear rope lights inside the bar to shine thru the front of the glass blocks ( a touch of class looking) I finished the bar with 3/4" oak plywood on the top and 1/2" oak plywood on the sides. I stained it with Minwax golden oak and put 3 coats of spar urethane sanding between coats with 220 sandpaper. I must say it does look impressive!!! ( lots of compliments on it) I spent just under $500.00. again thanks' for the sturdy plans!!!!!" Darrell K. Riverview, MI | | Here's a cool modification to the Easy Home Bar Plans...Mark B. of Fargo, ND needed to shorten the bar, which is easy to do, to fit a smaller space...GREAT oak job, nice finish and excellent job on the bar back Mark! | Mark says "Attached you will find pictures of the completed bar we made this past weekend. Thanks for the easy to follow plans". -Mark B. Fargo, ND.

"I just finished this home bar project, thought you might like a picture. When I moved in to the house, there was only a deck off the kitchen door in the back. Once all of my wife's interior design requirements were met, my part of the bargain was to build a bar on the deck. First, I installed a steel roof and the railings. That was the hard part. Then, borrowing heavily on ideas I got from your Easy Home Bar Plans site, I designed and built the bar. We're having a party in October to break it in, but rest assured, its up and running and ready for football season!" - Patrick G. - somewhere warm I presume...
