| Next Set of Sample Pictures | | Customer Testimonials: Messages from our members... | | Satisfied Customer: "I have to tell you that I am back to the site for the first time in almost 5 years, but I am absolutely thrilled with the lifetime membership! I purchased your plans back in 2005 when I was finishing my basement. The basement bar I built using your plans was awesome, and I received many compliments. Well, sadly, I had to leave the bar behind when we moved four years ago. But now I am finishing off the basement in this new house, and I'm back looking for plans for my new bar. What a pleasant surprise! More plans are available than ever before, and the software to customize them is really a sweet addition. I just wanted to say thank you, and let anyone out there who might be considering becoming a member to do so, because you will not be disappointed! THANKS AGAIN!" - Scott M. | Customer Service: "Thank you for your help all day today I am happy with the rest of the plans for the design. But most of all you have been there responding to me all day today. I know you have other things that you are working on and I am not the center of "Your World" but Brotha' you sure have made me feel that I was all that was important to you today. So from one business owner to another THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION and assistance, what you have done for me is what customer service is all about. We both know that it seems like in today's world we find less and less of it. You have reminded me as to how important it is to help those you choose to do business with us. Thank you for provided me such Great Customer Service within 24hr of purchasing your product." - Robert P. |
| | Jet's Bar: Comment from the builder: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your site. It was invaluable to the construction of my bar. Even though it has been completed for a couple months (and has seen it's fair share of partying!!), I still frequent the site on a regular basis." - Steve E. |
| | Wedded Bliss: Comment from the builder: "On January 2, 2005, I began to build the bar. A minor health issue slowed progress but on June 5, 2005, the bar was opened to celebrate my daughter's engagement party. Thanks for the great plans!" Juan M. Paramus, NJ |
| Beginner's Luck? "Hi Guy's, I purchased the plans off your web-site. When I tell you I have never made anything in my life, I am not kidding. I had never used a table saw or a circular saw before I took on this project. I found your plans to be very easy to follow. Once I got to the finish part of the bar, trim, top, etc...., I felt a little more comfortable and I used some different types of material.
I have since gone out and purchased a compound miter saw, circular saw, jig saw, cordless drill and many other tools for my next project. Since the bar came out so good, my wife now has many projects for me to attempt. I just wanted to share these with you and thank you for making these plans so easy for a beginner like me. Thanks guys". Jeff D.- Springfield, MA |
| | 45 Degree Mod: "After reading how pleased your customers were with your bar plans and after seeing how beautiful the finished bars were, I order your plans for myself. They were right. The project wasn't hard at all. I built the L-shaped model with just a circular saw and compound miter saw. I actually built a 4 foot bar and a 6 foot bar and then connected them together. After adding the wet bar, it's turned into the focal point of my basement. Thanks for the great plans and the picture galleries". Gary B. |
| "I had a great time building this bar and I am speaking for anyone out there that has never worked with wood before when I say that it wasn't hard and it was very rewarding. The plans are very detailed, and the encouragement to go out on your own and be more creative were wonderful. I surprised myself with the way the laminate bar top turned out, and was happy with the way the extra trim on the front of the bar and the molding above the beer well turned out. When we move out of this house, I think I am going to leave this bar there, so I can build a new one and try to add more to it. All my friends and I thank you very much for the help!!!!!" Kevin B. Oak Park, MI |
| Dave: Looks like an A+ job to us!
| Shop Class Redemption: "This was my first woodworking attempt since wood shop in High School 35 years ago. The plans were easy to follow and modify to fit ceiling height and room size. I'm glad I built it instead of buying a pre-built or hiring someone to do it for me. I have a couple of friends that are going to be building their own and I highly recommended your site." Thanks! - - Dave - -Lexington NE. PS: I forgot to mention I got a "D" in shop class....lol |
| | "I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased I am with your bar plans!!!It was very easy to follow the directions and with the photo illustrations it made clarity a snap. I spent just under $500.00. again thanks' for the sturdy plans!" - D. Kennedy |
| | "Great plans, great fun. The L-adaptation was easy. I highly recommend these plans to even the most novice of craftsmen". Chris G. Hauppauge, NY | | "We refinished our basement and I really wanted to build a nice bar. Looked for months for plans on-line, but didn't find anything I liked. Your plans were great, easy, and it only took me a weekend to complete the project. I adapted your designs to fit my 12 foot space, and added a two tap draft tower. Broke it in with a party a couple of weeks ago and people loved it (they couldn't believe I built it myself). My problem is now I keep looking for ways to improve it. It's a perfect complement to our pool room. Thanks again!" Bill G - Braintree, MA |
| | "Hello, I just wanted to say thanks for the great plans. I finished my back bar in just a few days. I used select pine and bead board for my back bar to match the 8' bar I built a few days before. Although I did not make it with the back lighting. It looks great after staining and polyurethane coating.
It was easy to build, this was my first woodworking project."
Thanks again. Regards, Bill N. |
| | "The bar plans were a great help, I remodeled my basement around the bar. I built it out of poplar and birch plywood for the top. I used maple for rail...I had some left over poplar, so I built a real neat light box above the bar, again thanks for the plans, I know have a corner I can call my own". Don H., York, Pa |
| | "I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased I am with your bar construction plans!!! it was very easy to follow the directions and with the photo illustrations it made clarity a snap. I modified mine a bit by adding a row of glass blocks across the front and sides. I also added a wet bar at the l shape I made. I must say it does look impressive!!! ( lots of compliments on it) I spent just under $500.00. again thanks' for the sturdy plans!!!!!" Darrell K. Riverview, MI |
| "I modified your bar plans to build an L-shaped bar which is 6 feet across in the front and 4 feet on the side. I basically extended the plans around the corner and followed all of the same principles. I still need to do some finish work with the fill in between the planks, and to go over the varnish a little- but I am more than pleased with the way it all turned out". | Derrick W. Columbia, MD | "I used all pine boards and was able to buy all of the materials for under $400- which is great considering I extended the bar around the corner, and would have never been able to find the size/style I needed anywhere else. I finished the bar in a mahogany stain and also used it on the glass rack which I built to complement the beautiful bar". Derrick W. Columbia, MD |

| Saltwater Fish Tank Bar: The bar plans are easily modified and provided the bar building information to help create this incredible salt water fish tank L-shaped party bar! Thanks to A. Tracy! (lovely models not included with plans ;^) |
| | "I wanted to give you all a better look at the bar top. So here is a good look at the Black Walnut bar top with a real Oak Chicago bar rail. The contrast looks great and brings up the grain in the Black Walnut. I must say this bar top came out better then I had hope for, considering this is the first time I had ever joined boards together to make anything. Also I have to thank the man responsible for this web site. He really does a nice job with this site and He gave me allot of great Ideas for this Bar". Greg G. |
| "Hi, I wanted to show off my new bar that I completed in two days using your plans. Total cost in parts & paint, etc = $215. I am quite happy with the results and couldn't have purchased a bar with more character anywhere! Easily reduced the size of the bar to six feet wide. We Love the bar and are going to break it in with a martini party in a few weeks!! Thanks for making your plans available to the public". Marc Perez |

| "Well it took some time, but I finally got the bar finished. I want to thank Barplan.com for the plans, to give me a basic foundation. I combined the L-shaped bar & Kegger bar, to accomplish my L-shaped bar with work counter. I know I should have taken more pictures, but it was hard to stop and grab the camera. The bar ended up being somewhere close to 5'x9', with two 3.2 fridges underneath, a 3 tiered bottle area, and 2 shelves. The under counter space is perfect for sliding beer, wine,& liquor glasses, as well as shooters. I used all oak wood, (because I know my friends and didn't want someone being able to tip or move the bar), and stained it red- mahogany to stand out against the honey oak floor. I didn't exactly take the cheap way out, oak arm rail & brass foot rail, but these are what get noticed and talked about the most ". Ken F. - Hagerstown, MD |
