    I just finished framing my L shaped bar…What a lot of fun..It was really esay but I need help in purchasing the right material for my bar top..Is it ok if I use plywood that has been sanded on one side…It sells at Lowes for $25 a sheet …or what about Pine…I don’t want to spend the $$ on Oak…Help…

      IMHO you don’t even need sanded plywood for any of the sub-surface. If you plan on using oak plywood for the top, just get some 3/4″ stuff with one good side and use that. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that you could use particle board for the sub surface — it’s pretty wavy and can be problematic getting it to lay flat.
