I want to start building an L-shaped bar, but the problem is, the set of plans on this site under the bonuses doesnt really show you how to alter the size of it. The total length of the bar in the plans calls for it to be 8+ feet and i want mine to be about 6.5 feet long. Now i know that the plans for the regular bar shows that you can alter the dimensions by just adding or subtracting the inches from the values on the cut list that are highlighted in yellow but the L-shaped bar does not have such a feature. Could someone that has built this shape bar tell me which of the wood cuts i need to alter for size? thank you in advance!

I’m in the same boat. One side is 66″, the other is 49″. I’ve been trying to draw it out, subtracting from the plans, but it seems like I could really screw it up if not careful.

FOR THE L-SHAPED BAR TO MAKE IT SMALLER IT ACTUALLY TELLS YOU TO JUST SUBTRACT INCHES FROM THE HIGHLIGHTED #’S ON THE CUT LIST. FOR EXAMPLE I WANTED A 4 X 6 BAR SO I SUBTRACTED 48″ FROM 1,2,3,4 &
9,9B,10,10B,11 FOR EXAMPLE #1 CALLS FOR A 123.5 IN CUT
SO CUT IT48″ SHORTER WHICH IS 75.5″ AND THE SAME FOR THE REST OF THE #’S
