      Just wanted some advice on the bar back, I am building it according to plans but the top seems kind of wobbely is there any suggestions how to firm it up or will it tighten up when the back is nailed on. Also how do I get the inner shelf supprts to stay solid when there is no braces for them, I am using a nail gun but would screws firm up this project alot more I am using 1/2″ pine but i dont want to be splitting wood with screws any advice would be appreciated this is a first for me.

        It will firm up considerably when the back is in place. It forms the many triangles that create stiffness.

        I would also suggest attaching it to a wall, if concrete, a few l-brackets and concrete anchors under the top of the base.

        Also consider facing the front with oak trim, that will add additional support. The glass rack also adds support to the rather long stretch above the mirror.

          As far as the shelves go, I’m not sure exactly what you are asking.
          Yes, screws would help, or a combo of glue and brad nails.

          To prevent splitting, pilot drill all your holes with a small drill bit, just a bit smaller that your screw guage. And of course, select the proper length screws so they don’t come out the other side.
