Hey guys, thanks for the compliments.. I am about to start building.. finally! I was wondering if I could get some help with using the online building tool. I will be doing the L-Shaped Kegger bar, but I want the opposite of what is shown on the online tool. In other words.. the keg box will be on the end of the bar on the side leg instead of against the wall (referencing my sketch).. is there anyway of doing this? TIA

The last one is the best one…you do not want the bartender struggling with that odd head space.

    Nice sketchup drawings!

I should spit out some sketchup models of the actual bar projects for those who want to take on entire room designs.

you are correct on the head space, and I also want shelves behind the bar also, I think the last idea will work!

Thanks for the reply! I am currently in the process of doing some finish work to the basement before I start construction of the bar. I am also new to that google program, so that bar is just “guestimating” and getting a good idea of whats in my head. :D I changed the design around after we got that area of the basement cleaned up and could actually walking into that spot.. (20+ years of collecting junk :| ) After walking around and some imagination, I changed the layout. When I start getting ready to build.. I will be asking a TON of questions! So better be prepared! 😉

Design change up.. think I like this one better. I can put the sink under the stair part. I have plenty of room behind the bar on the concrete wall to put shelving, which was part of my delima. The canopy part should work out good this way also. I will have re-route two fresh water lines and one drain.. but I think I have something I am more satisfied with. Still would like some ideas from the guru’s!!

here is what I first had in mind.. this is just rough drawing.. the part that is irritating me is the section under the stairs.. I want to build around that area to utilize the space. The way I have this concept drawed up.. you could hit your head on the short part of the underneath of the stairs.. :? I can put the sink into that section.. I don’t know.. getting frustrated! 👿

Here is a sketch of the area.. this is not the entire basement.. but where I plan on using the bar. The areas marked as 3′ is the area underneath the stairs. I will run the plumbing for the sink under this part.. can do this on either 3′ wall. I want to add a canopy above the bar also. I am totally open to suggestions. I have tried to envision a 45′ bar plan.. and a L bar plan. I also would like to have shelving behind the bar for glasses and liquor. I have two mini refrigerators that I will install inside the bar, one for a kegerator and the other for general purpose. The cove area under the stairs is what is throwing me off.. I am at a lost because of that part at the moment.. your help will be greatly appreciated!

p.s. just noticed I forgot to add the ceiling height.. it is 8′ so I will have plenty of overhead for a canopy!

Sorry for the crappy drawing.. :D
