Home Bar with Cherry Wood Top

Our site members always amaze me…
The old street slang “That’s cherry!” typically refers to a hot rod or cool car. It can also refer to something very sexy, which describes this project perfectly, but I digress.

Preserving Beautiful Cherry wood.

This recent submission in the builder’s gallery features a very unique home bar built using DIY milled lumber from an old Cherry tree. Once the tree was fallen, the builder used a portable milling machine to convert what may have ended up being firewood into beautiful cherry wood lumber, and eventually an awesome home bar.

Bringing it all together.

Next, the framing was built using our EHBP-09 45 degree bar plan set. The finish cut cherry boards were used to skin the front and side. The thick, wide boards were laid up, glued and used for the bar top. That rich red cherry wood really pops and results in a one of a kind beauty that will last for generations, preserving the old tree for posterity….and endless parties.  Enjoy the photos below. Great job Bart! …and thank you for sharing!

That’s what I call a Cherry Home Bar!
