I finally have my bar all together and the tap is fully operational. That was a grand moment. Its been about 4 weeks since I started up the fridge and have it at a good temp. The only problem I have is the ice buildup on the freezer plate and my fans freeze and stop working. Anything I could check or do to correct this problem. I have the fridge box defrosting at the moment since the first keg was finished.
I have the same problem… I get ice buildup… and a good bit of it.. after about 5-6 days… any suggestions?
Ice buildup is normal.
Excess ice may be due to a damp basement or high humidity.
The less you open the keg box door, the better off you’ll be.
Try using a dehumidifier if possible.
