We will soon be offering custom arm rail moulding in several species of wood including Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash and Poplar.
If you are interested in saving a few bucks over Rockler & Kegworks, post a reply. The Ash & Poplar varieties can be stained to look like Oak at a substantial savings.
What kind of pricing for maple?
for available models, see http://www.barmarket.com
Also, try – http://www.denoon.com/Bar-Rail-C42.aspx
As of 4/10/2016, Denoon is still the best deal on Chicago bar rail. The poplar species is only $6.95 / foot.

https://www.denoon.com/9801-1-12-x-5-12-Chicago-Style-Bar-Rail-Poplar-P335.aspxFor the #9801, will this fit on the barplan designs? Does that front lip hang over the edge 3″ or can it sit on the first baselayer? The Rockler and Kegworks designs are like the #9800 and that is the way these plans show, with the 2 layers of bar top. I want maple though, and that isnt offered in the #9800.
Yes, you can simplify the bar top down to a single finish layer and use the MUCH easier to install 9801.

Is it possible to get the #9800 in maple. I’ve just reached the part of my build where I will be installing the top (just finished installing the 2x10s) and I would rather not modify the build without having the rail actually here in front of me to make sure I have it right.
Someone mentioned that denoon does not ship to Canada… Try these guys instead: http://www.hardwoodsincorporated.com/product/br-475-bar-rail/
