I am building this bar and at Step 10a (page 22) it has you cut the three furring strips. The outside strip is 9.25″ longer than the inside – this is to accommodate the beer gutter. However, the beer gutter, addressed in Step 13, is listed as 6.5″. Can you tell me why the gap is 2.75″ longer than appears to be necessary?

I am not building a keg box, but rather using that area for a bar fridge in that area.

    Thanks!
