Finishing Off the Trim and Foot rest

Final trim is personal.
Beside being thousands of ways to trim out the bar, final trim makes up the personality of your project. It’s highly encouraged to take this in your own direction.
For the very basics, just use 1″x 4″ pine or oak trim boards. Measure them as shown using the “measure twice, cut once” method.

As far as the foot rest, just cut it and set in place as shown. The trim overlaps the foot rest, so the rest goes down first.

Trex works well for the footrest….even the bar rail.
