    Hello,

    HELP!!

Reading the plans for installing the bar top does not specify how much of an overhang the bar top should be given. I am getting ready to install the bar top sections and I already have the bar top base supports already in place, which has a slight overhang.

My question is how much of an overhang should the bar top be given and where should this overhang be measured from? Should the overhang be measured from the existing bar top base support overhang or from the main frame?

I hope I am making sense here and I hope there is someone out there who can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks!

Never mind! I found a few posts that address my question.

I am planning on building an L shape bar with the counter like the Kegger. Should I use the Kegger and modify or use the L and modify

I don’t see an overhang on the L, I think the Kegger has about a 5″?

Is this correct? I was thinking I should have more than that, maybe 10″.

I am a true novice, I did reconstruct a picinic table but that is the extent of my experience.

As long as I have your attention, can I skip the bar gutter or am I complicating things?

Thinking Birch for the top, to match some cabinets. any draw backs to that
