Is it better to use Dap insulating foam or great stuff? Does one work better than the other? I know from experience that dap is easier to clean up versus great stuff, but not sure how both hold up in the keg box

Did not know Dap had a foam from a can also. But, if it cleans up easier than great stuff, us it. What a mess if your not careful. Wouldn’t you be able to compare both by reading the cans. You would think they’d be close.
Sorry I coulddn’t help anwer your question . Dap is a very well known brand for sealants etc.. It must be a quality product as well.

Dap is very easy to use and yes it cleans up very well, dap in the can will allow you to start and stop where once you open up the great stuff you pretty much have to use the entire can or get rid of it.

You may use whatever brand you like.
If it’s expanding foam insulation, it will work just fine.

Keep in mind, the products I mention are only suggestions.
If you know of another similar product, please feel free to use it.

I have found that DAP foam sucks. I bought both Dap and Great stuff at home depot and when I dropped my great stuff can on the ground and the top broke off, I had to start with DAP. Not only does it take a full 24 hours to dry, but it doesnt expand nearly as much as the Great Stuff. It only expands about 10% more than its original size. I went out and bought another can of Great Stuff and had to redo all the gaps again. With DAP only my keg box only go to 47.

Now yes, it does clean up much easier, but I would rather have cold beer and a funny slippery film over my hands for a few days than warm beer. It might help to wear gloves too when working with Great stuff.
