Hi everyone, I am getting ready to finish my bar top and am considering using Envirotex, however it makes me nervous since I have never done it before. I have several questions that I am hoping someone can answer for me…

1.) I have built the 8 foot kegger bar, how much Envirotex should I use?

2.) Is it really as simple as just pouring it on the bar top? How do I know how much to pour?

I would appreciate any help or advice anybody could offer.

1/ I used the 1 gal kit on my 8′ bar but poured about 1/4 – ” thick.

2/ Yes just be sure all seams where product could leak down are sealed. Use wood filler or tape from underneath. Use a torch to remove air bubbles, works better than a hair dryer. Instructions tell you thickness max for each pour, I poured two seperate times.

How long did you wait between pours??? I want about 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick and I’m pouring about 1/8 inch each time… How long should I wait to make the next pour??

      Thanks,
      Russel

I think I waited about 24 -48 hrs, it gave information on the box. I also used extra fine steel wool and a tack clothe to remove any fine particles from the surface. Then also used a vaccum in case any particles were missed. I figured that since I was in the last stages of the bar, do it right and take my time. From the sounds of it you’ll have your bar for the holidays !
