      Hello all..

A couple of months ago my wife and I went to Cancun for a vacation and ran across a very cool bar we thought we’d try to duplicate in our basement. This might be a stretch, but I thought somebody here might have done something like this with thier bar top.

This bar had a thin layer of frost on top of the bar that could be used for cooling drinks (or drawing after a few of those drinks). I’ve searched the net for plans to build a bar top like this, but haven’t had much luck.

Anyway, if anybody has ideas or a link I’d appreciate it.

      Thanks,
      Scott

I’ve seen something similar in my Home of Richmond, Virginia, at the Capital Ale House (for any that care to check it out). It is amazing and would be really cool to know how they do it, even if I couldn’t do it myself. I found the following pictures online, perhaps it will give you a better idea:

I imagine it works similar to an ice rick with some sort of coil system underneath. Very “Cool” idea! 😆

But I think this must be expensive to run unless you are a commercial bar or live in a not so hot area like mine!
