I am new to this building stuff but I’m going to give it a try. I started on a straight bar for outdoors using flagstone on the bar face. Still wondering about the bar top (outdoors?). But my real question is: I plan on building one indoors and I have an idea about a hinged bar top. I am envisioning a glass or see through bar top to show off some police related equipment; patches, revolvers, badges etc. Like a shadow box but for a bar top. I just want to be able to add/subtract or have general access to the stuff under the glass. Has this been done before? I haven’t see anything on searches done or on this site. Thanks for any help!!

I haven’t seen this done, but if you do, I would not suggest using glass. Rather you should try a thick clear plexiglass, which will set up back a bit!
