      Hello All,
First off the $20 was well worth the money spent on bar plans and great tips throughout the forums. I started my bar over the weekend and must say that the plans are so simple to follow and the cutsheet is a fantastic asset to have on hand.

My original plan was to build the 8ft kegger bar, but after I downloaded the plans (and realized there was no possible way I could get all that right) I decided it would probably be best to modify an 8ft straight bar to house a kegerator underneath for approx the same amount of money.

So far so good with the bar, I modified the size to (7ft)84″ x 30″. The only thing I had on my side going into the build was that I am good with numbers and was confident all of my calculations would be correct and so far they have. Other than that, as long as you measure correctly everything will fall into place.

As of right now I only have all the 2×4’s and 2×6’s cut and in place, but I already can see the skeleton and I’m happy with my progress in just a day. I will take pics and keep the site updated with my progress.

I AM CONFIDENT that if I can actually build and finish this bar… ANYONE can do it! Again guys this is a great site and I am very happy with the ease of the plans and the multiple things offered on the site.

**I’m a big baseball fan, so my ultimate goal is to use baseball bats that are cut in half vertically (about 30″ tall) as the finish around the bar. I got the idea looking through the galleries of somebodys bar with hockey sticks. Just wanted to share incase anyone wants to use/steal it**

Awesome idea, can’t wait to see some pics of the finished bar. I too just started my first bar project and am using a modified version of the 8ft bar plan. I bought all the framing lumber and cut everything to size this past weekend, and plan on finishing the fraiming this weekend. Once that is complete, I will be working on picking out the finishing wood I want to use.

I’m really interested to see how the baseball bat idea works out with your bar (being a baseball fan myself)
