The plans don’t include how/where/when to install the bottom, back, side, and beer gutter trim

      Time to rewrite the plans!
      Too much is incomplete.

I’ll agree the plans are not complete, nor are the “Easy” for someone who doesn’t have basic skills. I’m handy enough to get things done at my house, so they worked. I ended up using simply as a guide for basic overall dimensions.

If you use the plans to build the 2×4 frame skeleton, and just take a second to measure the inside bottom, and the three sides you’ll be fine.

I’d suggest you look at some of the other plans as I think they are more complete and better written. In fact, I wish now I would have followed the plans for the wet bar as it has a built in shelf area I would have liked. I can add shelfs to my current bar eaisly, however I think the wet bar plan is a better, easier, and more complete set of plans. Check that one out to see if it answers any of your questions.

I think your expecting too much . Trim is the final touches to a prject. You can use it to hide minor flaws, enhance a projects appearance etc.. It also comes in a variety of styles, sizes.
Trim is too individual for there to be a how too, what size answer. Everyone of us have different taste. If you think of trim as a extra that is used to personalize a individual project. There is no way plans could tell you what, where to install it that will suit everyone.
We all need to make our bars as individual as we are and the final trim work allows this part of the project.

          Probak118 said it all…

I think I mention somewhere , where the plans are to be used as a “guideline”. Starting without any ideas is tough. Al least the photo gallery proves the plans are a decent guide on getting the major framework and design concept across.
Prob, is right, trim should always be approched as a custom job. If you cut to drawings and not to actual dimensions, it won’t measure up, literally.
The photos and the plans together may provide you with additional ideas.

The 8 foot straight bar is fast becoming a dinosaur.
It was considered so easy becasue you didnt HAVE to do all the fancy trim.

Take a look at some of the new bars coing out soon for better trim detail.

BTW, rather than posting here, please consider using the Quality Control Report form (which I’ll be updating soon).

          Thanks!
