Question regarding installing a tap

I am just about done with my bar. I have put two seal coats of Envirotex on my bar top and will do my flood coat later this week. I like the idea of mounting a permanent tap, but I don’t really want to put the money in for a kegerator.

What do I need to do to install a tap (or tower)? I was hoping I could install a tap and run a hose through the bar tap, and basically leave it hanging underneath the bar. On the rare occasion I buy a keg, I was thinking I could simply connect the hose to the tap. But I really like the look of a nice tap, but would also like it to be functional for parties, etc.

Also, has anyone tried to drill a hole through Envirotex?

Mschmitt, In reply to your tap tower I have seen them listed for around $90. I like your idea of the tap line for parties. I drink more hard liquor now than beer, but still like to buy kegs when entertaining. I would think you can by additional tubing at the hardware store to stretch from keg to tower.
I am in the planning stages now (a.k.a waiting for the wifes final approval) but I will probably use your idea. Thanks, Mike
