Can you mount a tap on the bar top from a store bought kegerator?
The plans show the built in kegerator or a cut out top for the store bought type.

Ok, I followed the plans for the bar and all I did was remove the 2×4 on the bottom so if i need to remove the kegorator later, it would be able to roll out. I removed the tower and the glass rack from the top and rolled it in (all that is done right now is the framing). Then I put my 4′ level across the top of the kegorator so it is right above the hole on the top of the kegorator. I measured the distance between the top of the kegorator to the bottom of the level. I also measured the diameter of the hole on the top of the kegorator. I went and got 2 pvc pipes. ( I can’t remember the diameter of them, but it was like 1 of them was a 2.5″ and the other was 3.5″) I cut them to length and put in some spacers so I had a 1 inch gap in between them. I sprayfoamed the gap to insulate the inside pvc pipe. Now you can use whatever you like but I used a little sprayfoam to mount it to the top of the kegorator. now comes the fun part. Right before you drop on the bartop I sprayed a little more sprayfoam on the top of the pvc pipe and dropped the bartop on. Now I did not cut any holes in the bartop yet,
for the tower or my flush mounted tray. I finished my bar first (stained and epoxy resin it first) The last thing I did was get a long drill bit and got in my kegorator and drilled my hole. after that I jigsawed the bartop to the size of the inside pvc pipe. Now I went with a flush mount drip tray. Reason is I can pull it out to excess the top of the kegorator if I need too. I have posted pictures on the site. My user name is nomad101

Hope this helps and happy building
