I have most of the bar built, but the last few pages have directions missing. The tap tower instructions and drip tray are missing… Also, is there a backspash only on the one side of the back & not the other side? the plans look like it calls for only one backsplash? Thanks.

Tap Tower & Drip Tray Positioning.

NOTE: If you are using Envirotex to cover your bar top, I suggest applying it FIRST, then drilling & cutting your holes AFTER it has fully cured. Like wise for laminate. Do the bar top finish work FIRST, then cut holes.

The recommended tap tower and drip tray can be purchased through the members site.
If you want to use some other model, you’ll be on your own.

The drip tray is ESSENTIAL for use with a tap tower, believe me! Otherwise you’ll be constantly mopping up overflow.
The drip tray includes a drain in the center which simply connects to 3/8” vinyl tubing. I recommend routing the tubing over to the sink drain, rather than to a drip bottle. Be sure you route the tubing so it allows the fluid to flow downward at all times. Once you get to the sink drain, just drill a 3/8” hole in the top of a staright section of drain, then insert the tubing about 1/2” the use silicone caulk to seal around the line.

The drip tray is not a cheap item, but it’s well worth the price.

Here’s a descriptive explaination for the tower & drip tray positioning.

The center of the Tap Tower should be 8 inches from the inside edge of the oak top trim board on the bartender side of the bar, centered left to right with the approximate center of the entire keg box.

The drip tray obviously mounts in the space between the tower and the trim board.

Hole diamter for the tower in 1.5”, into which you should insert a 1.5” PVC tube to allow for air passage from the inside of the keg box up into the tap tower. DO NOT remove the foam inside the tap tower. It’s not packing material, it’s insulation.
This is done to keep the beer line cool all the way to the tap.

The opening for drip tray is cut right into the bar top. Take an actaul measurement from the drip tray you receive.
Try to make for a snug fit, then secure in place using silicone caulk liberally around the inside edges.

          Back splash.

No, at present only one back splash is required.

You can add another panel on the Leg Section if you like.

Final rev of the L-shaped Kegger Bar will be posted very soon.
I’ve been busy with techncal aspects of the site (server) lately.

You can refer to the Straight Kegger bar for final trim options and check the Builder’s Gallery for othe trim ideas.

          Thanks

Oh, I also forgot to tell you…
On the L-shaped Kegger Bar Page, there is a thumbnail image near the lower portion of the page that shows the tap tower and drip tray arrangement. The drip tray CAD model is EXACT to what I purchased online for my own bar.

I hope this image is not too big, but here it is anyway:
